February 9th Update

Even as Addie continues to do very well, we have been saddened as two other dogs that we have been following over the months (Tucker, Dozer) have not been as fortunate. Hemangiosarcoma is a terrible disease. It can lull you into thinking that everything is wonderful and that the veterinarians were all wrong... then it hits again - hard.

We truly cherish every day that Addie is here with us feeling well and loving life.

The video in this post is one I took of her yesterday while we were on our afternoon hike. She is so funny. She will look out over an untouched snow bank, power-leap out into the snow, and dig as if there were squirrels under all that snow! She never fails to make us laugh!!

I am so happy that all of you are still together and enjoying life so much. I would give just about anything to have my girl back. It is so unfair. What you say is true. We were lulled into believing it wouldn't, couldn't take them...but it was relentless and eventually even denial didn't work. Then, when the bad days outnumbered the good days it became so sad and we had to let her go. I sincerely wish you the best and I hope Addie defies all the odds. Peace.

That's so awesome.
She reminds me of Indiana so much!!!

Indie loved the snow so much. Winter is terribly boring without her.

I'm so happy for Addie though! And I just feel like where ever Indiana is, she's pulling for your Addie too!!
It makes me happy to read your stories!!!
thanks!
